Ai Font Detector is an artificial intelligence typography identification tool. We analyze bitmap contours and suggest matched typeface names along with 100% free open-source twins. We do not distribute, host, or pirate proprietary font files (OTF/TTF/WOFF2). You retain 100% ownership of your uploaded graphics and logos. Our matching algorithms provide probabilistic recommendations, and users are responsible for securing necessary commercial licenses prior to manufacturing or brand production.
01.Acceptance of Terms & Eligibility
By accessing or using the Ai Font Detector website (aifontdetector.com), our web application, client-side identification scripts, or our Developer REST API (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy.
If you are accessing the Service on behalf of a company, design agency, studio, or corporate organization, you represent and warrant that you have full legal authority to bind that entity to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately discontinue use of the Service.
02.Service Scope & Typographic Identification
Ai Font Detector provides computer-vision algorithms designed to analyze visual letterforms, bitmap contours, and vector geometries from user-supplied image crops, PDF pages, or publicly accessible website URLs.
The Service operates by calculating mathematical distance metrics (including Chamfer contour distance, Histogram of Oriented Gradients, stem-weight ratios, and aperture geometry) against our index of typography signatures. The output consists of informational typeface names, foundry attributions, stylistic metadata, and recommended open-source equivalents.
03.Intellectual Property & Font Licensing Guidelines
We strictly uphold font software intellectual property rights and type foundry copyrights:
Ai Font Detector does NOT host, pirate, or distribute proprietary font binaries (.otf, .ttf, .woff, .woff2, .eot) belonging to commercial foundries (such as Monotype, Linotype, Adobe Typekit, Lineto, Commercial Type, Klim Type Foundry, or Hoefler&Co).
When our engine identifies a commercial typeface, we direct users to official foundry sales channels and authorized distributors. You are solely responsible for obtaining and complying with the appropriate End User License Agreement (EULA)—whether desktop, web, app embedding, or broadcast licensing—before utilizing that typeface in commercial work.
To empower designers on tight budgets, our engine pairs identified commercial typefaces with visually matched, high-fidelity open-source alternatives distributed under the SIL Open Font License (OFL) or Apache 2.0 license. These open-source twins are 100% free for both personal and commercial projects.
04.User Content & Upload Ownership
You retain all right, title, and interest—including all copyright, trademark, and intellectual property rights—in and to any images, graphics, vector artwork, logos, PDF documents, or text snippets that you submit to the Service ("User Content").
By uploading User Content, you grant Ai Font Detector only a temporary, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to process the content in volatile RAM/GPU memory for the sole purpose of executing character segmentation, contour matching, and returning detection results to your active session. We do not use your private creative assets to train public machine-learning models.
05.Acceptable Use Policy
When utilizing Ai Font Detector, you agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble our proprietary contour distance calculation pipeline or neural classification weights.
- Deploy automated scrapers, web spiders, or bots to harvest our font index data without an authorized Developer API license.
- Submit malicious files, embedded exploit payloads, or malformed PDF documents intended to disrupt or compromise our infrastructure.
- Use the Service in violation of any applicable local, state, national, or international copyright or trademark law.
- Attempt to circumvent API rate limits, quota controls, or security perimeters.
06.Developer API & High-Volume Usage
Access to our programmatic Developer REST API is governed by specific request-rate tiers and authentication tokens. API keys are strictly confidential and must not be published in public client-side repositories or public web pages. We reserve the right to throttle or revoke API keys that exhibit abusive request patterns or unauthorized credential sharing.
07.Disclaimer of Warranties & Manufacturing Precaution
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR ACCURACY OF MATCHING RESULTS.
08.Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, AI FONT DETECTOR AND ITS OPERATORS, AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, AND LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR PRODUCTION EXPENSES ARISING FROM OR CONNECTED WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
09.Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to amend or update these Terms at any time. When material modifications occur, we will update the "Last Updated" timestamp at the top of this document. Your continued use of the Service following any published update constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
